Description
Original WW1 bayonet for an Austrian 1895 Mannlicher cavalry carbine.
Marked FGGY on the hilt/guard has the sight on top which was used on the 1895 Mannlicher Cavalry carbines. This bayonet is very rare model with front sight blade on the muzzle ring.  I have never cleaned this bayonet & it looks like it would clean up very nicely. This bayonet was adapted to many European rifles in the late 1800s & early 1900s. Pre-WW1 & Post-WW1 it was the most widely used bayonet on the European continent.
The bayonet is in good nice condition.
Overall length of the bayonet is 14,2" ( 36 cm.)
