Vintage Bordallo Pinheiro Green Cabbage Leaf Soup Tureen Lid Ladle
This is an amazing vintage cabbage leaf soup tureen produced by the Bordallo Pinheiro company in the 1930's/early 1940's - pre WWII. You can tell the age by an embossed marking on the bottom of the bowl. If it was a more recent production, it would have a stamped marking. This is the real deal!
It includes the tureen, lid, and a ladle.
Measurements: Weight - 4 lbs, 3 oz, Tureen - 7-1/2" tall with lid, 6" tall w/out lid, 8" in diameter at the opening, Ladle -
8-3/4" in length
This is a vintage item, 80 - 90 years old, and is preowned, so it has some imperfections. I like to point out all imperfections, so you know what you are buying. There are 8 small nicks on the top of the edge of the tureen, 3 tiny nicks below the edge, 1 nick on the body of the
tureen
, 1 tiny nick on the edge of the lid, 1 nick on the inside edge, and 2 nicks on the ladle. The ladle has been broken in 2 and glued back together where the handle meets the spoon. Please take a good look at the pictures for a further description. I feel that none of these things takes away from the aesthetics of the item.
If you see white spots on the pictures, that is the reflection from the lights.
My items are packaged extremely well - I use lots of bubble wrap and air pillows!
These are preowned items so there is no original box, but I will package them so they will be very safe during shipment.
