UNWORN Peter Nelson, Vintage Cut-out Sugilite Pendant. Native American / Navajo

Description

Very nicely designed cut-out pendant with contemporized Navajo rug patterns and a sugilite cab.  It is rectangular, approximately 1 7/8" x 7/8" (not including the bale) and weighs 13.8 grams.  The sugilite is placed at a slight angle at the base of the pendant.
Peter Nelson has been creating unique jewelry, often reminiscent of Navajo rug patterns with a contemporary twist for more than 30 years. He is an award winning Navajo artist and comes from a very artistic family of painters, weavers and silversmiths. He is known as a gentle man with a great sense of humor.
Sugilite is thought to be a nurturing mineral gemstone offering relief from stress and worry and to help establish balance and emotional healing.  It promotes well-being and forgiveness.
