Old Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro Art Nouveau 4 Tile Panel Portugal Pottery Azulejos

Description

Four tiles by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro in lustre glazes and a raised geometric design. Each tile measures 5 1/2" square. The back of the tiles have a beveled edge and a striated pattern. They are unmarked and have traces of adhesive where they were mounted onto a board for display. I bought these around 2001 from the antique tile collection of a world traveler and employee of the World Bank. There are some scattered surface flakes and corner chips.
