Here we have the original squad automatic weapon... the big (heavy) and bad, BAR.
Made in 1917, and designed by non other than John Browning, it was so popular during initial trials that the military accepted it on the spot.
To prevent confusion with the browning m1917 machine gun, it was dubbed the 1918 browning.
The rest is history.
From the trenches of France, to the sulfur sands of Iwo Jima, to the mountains of Korea. The BAR has been an icon of American Military strength.
This is a 1/1 exact scale display. Hang it up in your man cave, behind the bar or wherever.
Made from 16 gauge steel, it only weighs about 1 lb. Much lighter than the original.
I can practically guarantee that this “son of a bitch won’t try to drown you in the channel” (Saving Private Ryan reference haha)
Cut from a 4x8 sheet of 16 gauge on our CNC plasma table, right here in Chelmsford MA.
Measures 46” x 8” roughly
